Our First Aid Courses aim to give students the knowledge and confidence to provide effective First Aid. We offer the following range of accredited courses.
FIRST AID AT WORK HSE RECOGNISED, 3/4-DAY COURSE FOR STUDENTS SEEKING A COMPREHENSIVE INTRODUCTION TO FIRST AID, OR THOSE WHO WISH TO BECOME NOMINATED FIRST AIDERS IN THE WORKPLACE. Open to candidates aged sixteen and over, this course is intensive, with assessment by examination on the final day. The Certificate, awarded to successful candidates by Seatrek Training, is valid for three years. Requalification courses are required before the expiry of the Certificate to extend validity for a further 3 years.

FIRST AID AT WORK—REQUALIFICATION COURSE HSE RECOGNISED, 2-DAY COURSE FOR THOSE SEEKING TO REVALIDATE AN EXISTING CERTIFICATE. CERTIFICATES MUST STILL BE VALID AT THE TIME OF TRAINING As the First Aid at Work Certificate is valid for three years, we run a Requalification Course to enable Certificate Holders to revalidate their existing Certificate prior to the expiry of their existing qualification. The Certificate is assessed by written and practical examination.

EMERGENCY AID AT WORK HSE RECOGNISED, 1-DAY COURSE FOR NOMINATED PERSONS PROVIDING SUPPORT TO FULLY QUALIFIED FIRST AIDERS A First Aid Course for Appointed Persons in the Workplace, giving full training in Emergency Procedures. This Certificate is awarded by Tutor assessment, Candidates must be aged over 16 and spend a full 6 hours under instruction.

EARLY YEARS FIRST AID A 2-DAY COURSE DEVELOPED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NATIONAL CHILDMINDING ASSOCIATION AND THE PRE-SCHOOL LEARNING ALLIANCE. This Course provides training related specifically to First Aid for Children from birth to eight years. The Certificate may be used to provide evidence for those working towards an SVQ in Childcare and Education. FULL SYLLABUS
FIRST AID FOR ANAPHYLAXIS FOR INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR ASSOCIATES LIVING WITH LIFE THREATENING ALLERGIC REACTIONS A4-hour course focusing on the prompt recognition and treatment for persons suffering a severe allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis. Training on the use of Epipen is given. This Certificate is awarded by assessment and issued by Seatrek Training
RYA FIRST AID A FULL DAY COURSE ACCREDITED BY THE ROYAL YACHTING ASSOCIATION, WITH EMPHASIS ON MARINE FIRST AID. For water sports of all kinds This course is tailor-made for all water=borne activities, and is designed specifically to deal with problems that may be encountered on the water. The Certificate is a pre-requisite for RYA Instructor qualifications. FULL SYLLABUS
INCIDENT TRAINING A ONE DAY PRACTICAL SESSION, GIVING QUALIFIED FIRST AIDERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY THEIR SKILLS TO A ‘REAL LIFE’ SCENARIO FOR QUALIFIED FIRST AIDERS This training starts with a 4-hour classroom session, revising and updating first aid skills, with the opportunity for open forum discussion. This is followed by a 4-hour practical incident scenario, giving First Aiders the chance to work together and to test practical abilities, with continuous assessment by the Tutor.
